MEMC Electronic Materials Inc. (www. memc. com/) has its headquarters in St. Peters, Missouri. It started operations in 1959 and the company’s products are semiconductor-grade wafers, granular polysilicon, ultra-high purity silane, trichlorosilane (TCS), silicon tetraflouride (SiF4), sodium aluminium tetra – flouride (SAF). MEMC’s production capacity in 2008 was increased to 8,000 tons and to 9,000 tons in 2009 [9].
